My vision for Rhode Island is a community of people committed to caring for each other and striving for the common good. Our diversity is one of our great strengths, and as your State Senator, my goal is to give all Rhode Islanders an opportunity to be heard at the State House. You can count on me to fight for civil rights, to protect reproductive rights, and to create economy boosting -- not economy busting-- jobs.
I believe that strong public schools are the cornerstone of our democracy. As someone who has always been passionate about supporting the most vulnerable Rhode Islanders, I'll work every day to ensure access to healthy foods, a safe home, and quality health and dental care, as well as for continued support of vital programs like RI Works, RiteCare, and child care supports for low-income families.
I am committed to creating a climate of economic opportunity that is welcoming to employers, and a support system for small businesses that is available to anyone with a good idea and the willingness to work toward a dream. It's time to recognize Rhode Island's true economic potential and invest in companies that will create long-lasting jobs with good wages.
Rhode Island is filled with smart, innovative thinkers, and I believe in the value of bringing their voices and ideas to the State House. I'm proud to represent the East Side and know that together, we make Rhode Island a place where we all want to live and work.
